Subtropics the geographical and climatical zone of the Earth immediately north and south of the tropical zone. A subtropical region should have at least eight months with a mean temperature of 10°C or above. The winters are relatively warm-mild, but not as hot as the summer season.
Korea While the world temperature is increased about 0.74°C on an average, temperature in Korea has been increased in 1.7°C. Winter is getting shorter and summer is getting longer. Besides, the area under apple cultivation goes higher, from Deagu to Paju. Korea receives a substantial amount of precipitation during the summer, from Jun through August, which is distinguished from the rainy spell, for recent 5 years. Regional torrential rains following the rainy spell have became similar to 'squall'. These mean that Korean climate is rapidly changed to subtropics.
Therefore, farmers start to cultivate tropical fruits in southern Korea. We expect that we can eat tropical fruits made in Korea. This experience must be happy, at first, but after few years, the result will be considerable in industries and environment.
